That Face - Scrapbook Saturday

Still working on my photographing of layout skill.  It kinda sucks doesn't it!  I have no idea how everyone does it Uggghh....  Anyway I love this layout!  It's just a picture of Abbi being goofy and adorable.  The picture was my current favorite when I put this together!  I had fun finding little things to fill in the space here.  The hearts are all punched from scraps.  I took a couple of nights in front of the TV with smaller scraps and punched them with various punches to use up he paper.  Then I added them to my embellishment box.  It's a great way to use up scraps and have a ton of embellishments for fillers.

Thank you for stopping by I hope your having a Wonderful Weekend!

Pantone Color 2018

Pantone Color of the Year 2018 Ultra Violet

I am in Love!  I like purple my craft room is a pale lavender but usually not unless it is mixed with enough blue!  This purple/violet is lovely though.  The darkest shade matches Abbi's walls in her bedroom.  She will be so happy to see more items come out in this color!

Now lets see how this inspires fashion, home goods and everything else over the year it should be exciting!

Happy World Card Making Day 2017

A little bit ago I received an email message from my Blog.  I don't normally get these and I'll be honest most things from my blog are Spam about Goose Down(I have no idea why???) or some sort of prescription drugs.  So I generally see it in my list and think I can do read that later.  It's a bad habit but I just can't help myself.

Anyway when I finally did open and read the message it was anything but a regular Spam email.  It was from Sarah at Scrapbook.com informing me that my card(this card) was featured in their article about World Card Making Day.  I was floored.  Usually I post things just for my family and myself as my journal of what the Family and I are doing.  I run on the notion that no one is looking.  Again another bad habit but it's better than talking to myself everyday... Wait I do that too!

So since people might be looking, I hope everyone gets a lot of time to Make Cards on this World Card Making Day.  I have errands and then I'm meeting a friend to shop for walking shoes, as we are in a contest to get the most steps between now and December and with $200 - $500.  I will be crafty tonight as I have tons of crafty work from my Etsy Shop Orders and for my Craft Fairs to work on that it is hard to work on during the work week.  But I must get my steps in first.

The details for this card can be found in the post here and it is also in my Scrapbook.com gallery.

I would like to say Thank You to Sarah at Scrapbook.com and apologize for ignoring her message profusely.  I never meant to be rude, so sorry.

Have a Wonderful Fall Weekend and get Crafty when you can!  Thank you so much for stopping by XOXOXO.

You Made My Day - Quick and Easy Card

A quick card as a note of Thanks.  This used mostly scraps I had laying about on my table.  It to about 10 minutes to make.  I feel so accomplished  with I complete something, quick or not.
 inside the card
This is a fabulous way to jump start your creativity.  Just grab you scrap basket or box and pick out 2 pieces of paper and one die cut(this one is Cheery Lynn).  You can pick one stamp set, one tool and one embellishment.   Here I chose a greeting set from MFT, a corner rounder and pearls.

Next time your in a rut just grab a card base and a few scraps, set your timer for 10minutes and make something quick.  You'll fee accomplished and have a card to show for it.

Thank you for stopping by today hope your having a wonderful weekend.

Scrapbook Layout - Favorite Birthday Gift

Having fun with more of my older pictures and older Stash.  I've create mini kits I put them in little pouches and pull them out randomly to scrap.  I've combined a couple of scrappers techniques for creating these kits like Nicole Jones and Katie Scott.  I love the way they kit for Crops or events like Calvin Ball.   Plus it is so easy when I have a bit of free time to pick up a kit and just get to work.

This is from Emily's Birthday when she was so into Vera Bradly she got a matching everything in her favorite pattern.   It was nice to be able to use up literally SCRAPS from my scrap bin for this one.  The papers are just strips leftover from past projects.  The flowers are Pebbles and the word Birthday are Thickers.  I did stamp with a mini alpha from Stampin' Up.   The tiny word stickers are from Bella Blvd.  I love how the backpack pops with these colors!

Ok only a couple  of more weeks until school starts we are full swing school planning and Band Camp is kicking our buts!  Oh well it will soon be over and they will be off to school each day!

I appreciate every visitor I hope you are enjoying the shares!  Have another Wonderful Week HUGS!

Scrapbook Layout - On To Fort Sumter

A lot of our Family time is spent traveling with Daddy to his various Cival War events.  He loves doing Living Histories in places like Fort Sumter South Carolina.  We were on our way there and got a chance to stop by this amazing battle ship only a few miles from there.  The girls have learned our history very early on and continue to do so every chance we get.

The papers here are Simple Stories there are some Studio Calico wood veneers and the alphabet is Heidi Swapp and I cut my title with my Silhouette.  I generally take way too many pictures so I love it when I can do a layout incorporating a ton of them.

Sometimes you just have to do 2 pages and since this is both girls and Daddy it will go into the Family Album.

Thank you as always for Stopping by to Visit!  Hope your having a Great Day Hugs!

Floral Thank You Cards

Well it seems my inspiration is product driven for the most part.  I got a new set of stamps at Michael's from Hampton Arts called Flower Amaze.  I love the 2 step techniques I always have.  It makes a card no matter how simple seem somehow complete.

I love how this one turned out with the Pink seam binding and pink polka dot paper layered on green. Again I took advantage of my stamp press to make multiple cards.

I appreciated everyone that stops by for a visit here feel free leave a comment so I can Thank You in person!!!  Hope you have a Wonderful Day Today!  I will be back later in the week with some more scrapbook layouts!

Scrapbook Layout - Sad Baby

Awwww this very Sad Baby.  Abbi had a couple of days like this and with a Baby you just don't know teething, colic, gas??? It could be anything.  I put her in the bouncy seat to try to get her to calm down but nothing seemed to work.  I still just wanted to snuggle her and make whatever it was all better.  Like a good scrapbooking Mom I took pictures because well that's what we do we document everything even the Sad times.  These are our memories and now they have photos to go with them.

I used a ton of different product on this page.  The papers are Echo Park and really old American Crafts paper.  The embellishments are Echo Park, Simple Stories, among others.  Nothing really goes but it all goes it's so colorful.  And I had a moment where I had an urge to use ORANGE so this made me Happy!  It's a simple layout but effective for the photos!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend!  Thanks so much for joining me today!

Christmas Cards - Christmas in July

Who'd have thunk it Christmas in July is almost over.  I've been meaning to share these cards.  I created sets of them for my Etsy shop for this month and going forward.

The stamp set is a retired one from Stampin' Up called Seasons of Friendship.  I love it for so many reasons.  I really utilized my stamp press with this one for the first time since I made a ton of sets.  The background paper(red) is  stamped with a Dot Background stamp and the word Joy is from a die cut.   I've always loved Red and Brown together for the Holidays it's warm and inviting.

Thank you again for stopping by!  Here's hoping everyone has an Amazing Weekend.  If your so inclined you can stop by my ETSY SHOP HERE and check out my other crafty items as well.  Toodles!

Scrapbook Layout - Painted My Face

OK this layout cracks me up mostly because Abbi is so HAPPY to have her face painted by her Dad.  We were at the Zoo and they had a station for face painting in the Children's Zoo.  She was thrilled she instructed  and helped him to do it and what colors to use!  She is so pleased with herself!

I had fun using really old BRIGHT papers for this one I cannot for the life of me remember the brand. I layered it onto Kraft that I dropped blue and white paints all over.  The title is done with some old Heidi Swapp acetate letters and the journaling is done with Heidi Swapp sticky notes.  Remember those pads I have tons of them.  Love them for journaling.   I added a Doodlebug doily and some other circles out of  cardstock and enamel dots.  All in all it makes me super Happy to see her little face.  She's 14 now it's fun to go back and scrap older photos and relive the memories.  I love the kits I never know what I'm going to get to work on each time I sent down.
So excited we're starting to prep for school here.  Both girlies will be in High School this year which will be fun.   For them and for us!

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look!  Have a wonderful day!
